This stainless steel fruit firmness tester has a dual range that allows you to measure fruit firmness with a combined range of 0.5-24kg/cm2.
The thinner 8mm tip is ideal for Apples, Peaches, Pears, Avocado, Kiwis and Tomatoes. The thicker 11mm diameter tip measures 1-24kg/cm2 and is best suited for tougher large fruits. This tester features a unique dual dial display making it easy to measure the firmness of most fruits.
Fruit firmness is directly related to fruit maturity and quality. By measuring a fruit's firmness you can determine when to harvest, which seeds to propagate, and the suitibility of a product for transport, processing or sale.
